LOLA: What does Valentine’s Day mean to you?
Limaran:
Valentine’s Day
is a day of love for me, but not limited to just romantic love. Instead, it’s about
sharing love with my family and friends, about expressing love and thanks to
the loved ones around me. I used to bake brownies and make cards for my family
and friends during Valentine’s Day when I was younger!
What were the worst & best Valentine’s Day
gifts you have ever received?
I do not recall the worst Valentine’s Day gift as we try to put
in even as little effort to make this day special. I remembered there was one
year that Jason and I were very busy during that period so we decided to just
stay home and cook for each other. On our 3rd Valentine’s Day together, Jason
selected and compiled almost 500 photos into a collage and framed it up as a
gift for me. I thought that was one of the sweetest thing to receive, as
someone who enjoys making cards and craftwork for my loved ones.
What are some dos & don’ts for picking a gift he’ll
love?
I have
always believed that guys are very practical creatures so get something that he
can use or wear. Definitely do not get something you think you will definitely
love, rather, think in his shoes and imagine him using or wearing it!
What’s the sweetest thing your husband, Jason, has ever done
for you?
Proposing
to me in the presence of God.

Lastly, any tips for our singles ladies on how to get a date
for Valentine’s Day?
Don’t be
afraid to get to know people, also, learn to get to know yourself well so you
know what you are looking for in a partner. However, be realistic and
practical! LOLA is running a Valentine’s Day dinner date, they
should try it out and grab the chance to get to meet more people! You’ll
never know what can spark off from a sincere friendship!
