Restaurant review - BoCHINche

Brought Jason to check out BoCHINche earlier this month. It was our first Argentinian cuisine and we were looking forward to a good, exotic cheat meal.

This is my first official restaurant review so bear with me if the photos are not very well-taken! :P

We love the ambience of the restaurant because of its comfortable, dim lighting and the industrial touch to its decor, leaving its customers feeling relaxed and at-home.
Bar appropriate for happy hours after work!
Chefs at work!
Decided to snap a couple of shots before we were being served our lunches.
Interesting Argentinian facts on the coasters
Jason picked the Sea Bass for his starter..
And mine, undoubtedly the mushroom soup! The toppings are nut bits if I'm not wrong, best one I've tried, ever.
Jason's lamb sandwich..
And my Saba fish with potato salad and tuna by the side. Never been a fan of saba fish but this was really good!
Unfortunately, both desserts are MINE! hurhurrrrr.. Creme Brûlée with crushed macarons (I think). Well, I need not say more, all of my female friends love Creme Brûlée, LIKE ME. :D
Jason actually picked this but I finished it for him! BoCHINche's homemade Mango and Black Orange Sorbet! Love it because they aren't too sweet and the after-taste is very refreshing! YUMMMMS!
Last photo before we left the restaurant feeling well-served (by the wonderful, smiley staffs) and so well-fed!

Thank you for having us BoCHINche!

Advertorial - Way Better Snacks!

Apologies for the hiatus! Had been swamped with too many things to do and too little time!

Nevertheless, I have had the privilege to try these chips from LeBono and I'm featuring 2 of my favorites! I've always been a fan of snacks, and it was only till recent years that I started to reduce the snack consumption because I realized this bad habit had been hindering me from achieving my fitness goals! I still snack once in a while and I am glad to be able to find the healthiest way to snack now with Way Better Snacks and Viva La Papa!

*Drum rolls* My 2 top picks are undoubtedly the ones from Way Better Snacks!

There has been a rise in demand for food containing sprouted ingredients, which is the next health trend in the food industry. These seeds are designed to survive the rigors of nature before they embed themselves and take root and are covered with a protective layer of physic acid (a substance present in the bran of all grains and seeds that can inhibit some absorption of calcium, magnesium, iron, copper, zinc, and enzyme inhibitors to help protect them and ensure they are able to fulfill their destiny to sprout).

Nature doesn't want the seed to germinate before its time so it literally locks down the nutrients to ensure this doesn't happen. This is called enzyme inhibition. When we eat seeds and grains, these inhibitors can prevent the formation of enzymes in our digestive tract, interfering with the body's ability to effectively digest and absorb them.

The first pick is the Simply Unbeatable Blues! Each chip is filled with chia seeds, flaxseeds and quinoa! Not only does this taste more delicious than the usual tortilla chips you get from the supermarkets, the chips are also certified Gluten Free, non GMO, certified 100% Whole Grain, Certified Kosher and Low Sodium!

My top favorite is this Sweet Potato Tortilla Chips! These taste slightly sweeter and have a strong sweet potato after-taste, for somebody who loves sweet potatoes, this is the BOMB! We decided to keep half the pack for dinner with our favorite homemade/self-invented salsa sauce with beef!

So, in the evening, we got home excited and got ourselves busy in the kitchen whipping up our favorite salsa sauce with beef. Boy, we were not disappointed as the tortilla chips tasted heavenly with our salsa sauce!
