Beauty Talk – Strip IPL

I have been doing IPL on my underarms for years. I enjoy how I don’t have to go through the hassle of shaving every other day and worrying that the skin will loosen and darken. So I was really glad to be invited for an IPL session with Strip on my legs because I had been shaving mine for the longest time and really hated the hassle!

Lucky for me, Strip is conveniently located at 17 locations around Singapore!

What is Intense Pulsed-Light Hair Removal?

It is an advanced and semi-permanent hair reduction method. Beams of specially filtered light are used to disintegrate hair from the root. New hair growth is delayed and a percentage of hair may not re-grow.

My IPL Experience at Strip Plaza Singapore

I was warmly greeted by Benny at Strip Plaza Singapura! Benny brought me into the treatment room to prep for the treatment. I really love how the room is clean, well-designed, pink and cosy! It got me all excited and looking forward to the session!

Benny started applying cooling gel on my legs and then evenly spread the gel on my skin.

After the gel is evenly spread, the treatment begins! The applicator was brought through the entire targeted area on my legs, in repetitive batches.

As soon as the treatment ended, Benny cleaned the gel on my legs before applying moisturizer so that the skin gets the moisture before the pores start closing up. My skin feels super smooth! :D

Shopping Talk – #ShopForGood, Shopping made more meaningful

This October, TANGS unites brands in support of good causes and socially responsible shopping with exclusive products and promotions for various beneficiaries. TANGS #ShopForGood returns this year, bigger and super awesome!

Over 50 brands are offering exclusive items and promotions to raise funds for various charity organisations in conjunction with the TANGS #ShopForGood event. This year’s #ShopForGood has Singapore Children’s Society as its key beneficiary, an organisation that aims to protect and nurture children and youths regardless of race or religion. For every receipt generated from the 1st of October to 1st of November 2015, TANGS will donate $0.50 to Singapore Children’s Society (up to a max. of $100,000).

I could not attend the shopping event on 10 Oct due to my leadership course so I headed down to TANGS at Tang Plaza to have a look at some of the promotions and products under this campaign after! As J and I are starting to plan some of the home appliances for our upcoming home, we headed straight to our current favourite section, Home, and here’s what we found!

Besides raising money and awareness, TANGS too hope to elevate a collective social consciousness and build a better community. As the leading retailer in Singapore, #ShopgForGood is a very conscious decision by TANGS to take the first step in making shopping more meaningful and contribute to the greater good!

Health & Water Talk – ICE MOUNTAIN Sparking Water

Not a personal fan of carbonated soft drinks, I do know many clients and friends out there who can’t seem to take carbonated soft drinks out of their diets. I realized that there should be a solution to this issue, but I cannot simply tell them to stop drinking carbonated drinks and switching them to plain water immediately!

ICE MOUNTAIN SPARKLING WATER is a good alternative to carbonated soft drinks and is a lot more exciting than the usual plain sparkling water as it comes in 2 flavours - grapefruit and lemon.

So I always had problem drinking water, really. And I decided to bring the sparkling water to the gym and drink it post-workout and throughout the day.

Beauty & Hygiene Talk – Strip at Plaza Singapura!

I’m sure many of you have heard of Strip, Browhaus and Spa Esprit Group. Spa Esprit Group is a homegrown brand with a diverse portfolio spanning across beauty and F&B, with presence in 10 cities around the world. To date, they have 17 distinct lifestyle brands that are recognized both in Singapore and internationally.

I was privileged to be invited to the newly opened Strip outlet at Plaza Singapura. This is the only IPL-only outlet in Singapore!

I fell in love with the interior, which mimics the Grand Budapest Hotel! The colours used were all warm and pink, ambience lights used were cosy and inviting and of course, the staff were all smiles as I walked in.

Was greeted by these smiling faces as I walked into the outlet. I couldn’t help but kept glancing at them as the ladies were assisting me with my appointment. :P The keys hanging at the back of the counter ties back well to the Grand Budapest Hotel interior too!

These are keys to the room, making the entire outlet look like hotel check-in services, super cute!

I walked in and saw the sweet looking rooms to my left! These are rooms for Strip and the Browhaus bays are on the right, depending on the different services that you are there for.

I love how subtle and witty this display is! The packets are actually IPL kits, unique for each IPL customer. Each kit will be disposed of after an IPL session to ensure hygiene standards.

So Spa Esprit Group has launched a very convenient way for all of us to make bookings now, supplementing the calling of the outlets’ hotlines. You may opt for bookings via the website, booking.spa-esprit.com, or download SEG Booking on your mobile devices.

I personally love the fact that there’s a mobile app booking option and made my first booking on my mobile phone! Let me bring you through a mini tour on the booking! :D

Search ‘SEG Booking’ on your app store or Google Play store and you will see this when you open the app. Remember to allow notifications though! :D

If you are interested to book an appointment slot or sign up for a new package, you may select from the following.

If you’re an existing customer and already have an existing package, select ‘My Packages’ when you scroll further down on the same page.

You will then be able to see the services that you purchased and how many sessions you have left, also the invoice if you lost it previously. Click on ‘Book session’ once you are ready!

It is super personalized to the extent that it allows you choose even the therapists who are available at the selected date and time slot. How cool is that!

Once you are completed with your booking, you should see these pages, followed by an email confirmation and you are good to go! :D
